Welcome to In the Wild + Wonder…

In this space, I want to lead you away from what this world likes to put on us…stress, perfectionism, limits, labels and an endless to-do list…

Into what God has created you and I for…

a place of freedom, of peace, of abundance…of wild & wonder.

A lot of what I address will be for all of the mama’s out there, who would like a little less busy and a lot more wonder with their families, but I’ve got still got some special tidbits for my friends who are not in the deep of motherhood.

A cause of astonishment or admiration See marvel or miracle.

I want to invite you on my journey out of a life filled with:

-stress

-overwhelm

-tiredness

-busyness

-not finding joy in life

Into a daily life where we:

-laugh more

-find peace even in the messes

-take ownership over what we can control

-create discipline in our daily life

-make room for wonder

I will not claim to be a guru or expert in any of these areas, I’m simply a woman who knew there was a different way of doing life well and I want to be the friend that’s gone before you who reaches back to say, “We’re in it together, come on, let’s go!”

So buckle up, buttercup! God created you for more than just an endless “to-do list.” He promises Abundance, Freedom & Adventure in the here and now! In the mundane of everyday life to the thrill of unknown territory! I want to show you how some of the simplest changes in our mindset and daily life will allow you to #makeroomforwonder!

This is a space for women who are no longer seeing the need to live in chaos, but are ready for some tough love from a trusted friend and I hope I can be that for you. There’s no judgement or criticism here, but what you will find is encouragement, inspiration with some ownership, discipline and zero room for victim mentality thrown in. It’s time to take action sister!

10 little bits about me that you may or may not want to know:

  1. I’m an early riser! Anywhere from 4:30 am to 5:30 am I’ll start my day. I love those early mornings when everyone else is asleep and it’s just me getting some time to myself, a good workout in and quiet prayer time!

  2. I’m married to my high school sweetheart and best friend. Kody and I have been together since were 16 years old. I love that man dearly with a lot of grace, grit and God’s love at the middle of our marriage I hope to spend 50 more years married to him!

  3. We homeschool our 2 girls. Yes, I love it. Yes, there are hard days, but it’s worth it. We homeschool year round where we take lots of breaks and field trips and I’ve learned that I only have to be one day smarter than them!

  4. I grew up on a farm that’s been in my family for 7 generations. I’m very connected to the history of my people and looking forward to learning more and more about the generations that came before me.

  5. I love to read, I have a huge goal to read 40 books in a year! I love reading fiction, history, self-growth, leadership, faith and biographies. Let me know if you’ve got any recommendations and I’ll add it to my long list.

  6. I lead our ladies ministry at my church and I sing on the worship team. I love my church family so much and I’m continually in awe of the people that God has surrounded me with that continue to encourage, challenge and love on me and my family!

  7. I work out 5-7 days a week and I believe you should too! Early in the morning workouts are my bread and butter and I’m steadfast in the belief that girls with muscles are absolutely stunning!

  8. I love to hike BIG mountains! I’ve got 3 14’er’s under my belt and I want to climb all of the ones in Colorado before I’m 50! Yet, I have no interest in climbing Everest!

  9. I like me some coffee!

  10. And I’m a cowgirl. I’ve lived most of my life on the back of a horse and it still makes my heart the happiest to be out riding.
