Cooped Up On Black Friday

I hope everyone's Thanksgiving was wonderful and you ate so much yummy food that you are ready to burst!  I know we did!  For the first time since we've been married we visited both sides of the family for Turkey Day and despite what a lot of people would have thought, it went really well. Especially traveling with two little ones.  We decided to visit both sides since so many of our extended family hadn't met Odessa Rose yet and if you haven't met her, you are so missing out because she is so fun!  Haha... or at least we think so!  I love all of our family so much and I especially love getting to see my family interact with the girls.  It's just so special! So after we returned from the festivities on Thursday I was beginning to feel the urge to go out on Friday and see what deals I could find.  But when I really thought about it and considered that I'd be toting my girls along into crowded stores with long lines and grumpy, saving's-crazed shoppers, I decided staying home and doing laundry would be much more my style.  So besides running in and checking on my booth at Alley Arts & Collectibles, laundry is going to be the activity of the day.  Sounds fun, huh?  I know, I know, "where is your sense of adventure?"  Yeah, I have none.  I do, however, plan to partake in Small Business Saturday by hitting up some of the awesome antique shops around our area as well as my favorite boutique, Livewire.

So for shopping inspiration I hit up Pinterest.  I mean, who doesn't?  Here are a few of the things I'm pretty in love with:

chair

I know this chair has a lot going on, but I really dig it.  It's so colorful and it has a lot of character. It's a reclaimed piece from Totem Salvaged.  Way out of my price range, but I'd love to make one of my own some day.

babysnow

This snow suit is so stinkin' cute!  It's unfortunately sold out, but man, if it comes back up I'm going to be all over it!

headboard

I have a few burlaps that I've collected over the years and I'm dying to make a headboard like this.  You can never have too many cool burlap sacks laying around to choose from, so I'll definitely be keeping an eye out for some more of these.  Livewire Clothing in Eaton, Colorado has some pretty cool burlap pillows that I might have to swipe up as well.

boots1

These boots aren't really for shopping inspiration but I am getting some ideas from them for a pair of boots that I'm painting.  I'm really liking the sparrows as well as the colors used on these boots.

And of course I will be on the look out for cute stuff for my girls and this mix of prints is so eye-catching.  I would love to find a skirt like this one.  The blogger who took the pic found it on ebay but it originally came from Zara.  I guess I'll have to scour the consignment shops to find something similar.

lucy

And to just throw something in that has nothing to do with shopping, here's some Lucy.  For no reason other than I just think she's so cute and I believe there needs to be more Lucy and less Kardashian.

I hope you have a fabulous Friday and if you're partaking in the Blackness, I hope you find some rockin' deals!

Happy shopping!
