A God Reminder

For the past couple weeks I feel like our house has been under attack. Everything from sickness, stress, physical body pain, to marriage, and everyday life. It is in life's moments like these that God reminds me to just settle down and not focus on the chaos going on around me but really focus on the things that He has given me. Take a moment to find the beautiful things that He has given you. It's easy to focus elsewhere sometimes and to "worry" or "stress" about everything else going on around you. Although that still small voice just keeps saying take a look around. God says, "Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?"

I look at my husband and see the love and the grace that he has for me each and every day. The relationship that God has grown us in is beautiful. We aren't perfect by any means. We are human beings that mess up, get up again and start over. God has showed us to love one another for who they are and to focus on who God has made them to be, not what we think they are suppose to be.

I look at my son and how amazing God is to have given him to me. My son looks to me and trusts my husband and I in everything. That's the kind of love and trust that we should have with our heavenly daddy. To be fully dependent, enwrapped and in awe of Him, the one who made us.

I look at the friendships that God has placed in front of me. They help me grow and fellowship in God. These aren't the kind of friends who gossip and sew discord over you and your family. These are the friends that stick by your side, pray for you in the middle of the night, cry with you, tell you when you're wrong, and stand with you in all things. I wouldn't trade any of the friends I have in my life and I know that God has placed each and every one of them in my life for a greater purpose.

It's all the things that we may not look at and thank God daily for. It's that reminder to look around and look at the beauty that He has created for you. The life that you live is His beauty. Whether it looks like it is all put together or not, that's okay. Trust Him, leave the stress and chaos behind you and run forward with what's in front of you. You got this!

Till next time,
Have a beautiful and blessed week! Remember the things that God has placed around you and enjoy them! Take time to thank Him for all you have!
